Liturgical Celebrations in June: Corpus Christi and St John’s Nativity at St John’s Co-Cathedral

Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ

On Sunday 11th June, 2023, at 9:30hrs a Pontifical High Mass presided by His Grace the Archbishop at St John’s Co-Cathedral. Holy Mass will continue with the Procession with the Blessed Sacrament which passes through St John Street, Merchants’ Street, Archbishop’s Street, St George’s Square, Republic Street and back to St John’s Street. When the Procession arrives at St John’s Co-Cathedral, His Grace the Archbishop will impart the Blessing with the Blessed Sacrament.

Solemnity of the Birth of St John the Baptist

Saturday 24th June: 16:30hrs – Investiture of the new members within the Order at the Oratory of St John’s Co-Cathedral. At 17.15hrs, His Lordship Mgr Joseph Galea Curmi will lead the Translatio Reliquie from the Oratory to the Main Altar where Solemn Vespers will be sung. At 17.45hrs His Lordship together with the members of the Metropolitan Chapter will say High Mass at the Main Altar of the Co-Cathedral.

Sunday 25th June: 09:30 hrs, His Grace the Archbishop will lead the Pontifical High Mass on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Birth of the Precursor.
