Position Overview

The position of a Custodian is to give a memorable experience to the visitors of St John’s complex. This is done by a customer service that exceeds expectations through the knowledge, skills and the attitudes of the custodian.

Qualifications and requirements

Qualifications and requirements

Knowledge and skill to communicate and exercise customer service
Knowledge about the monument and skills to communicate at least in Maltese and English
Observation and assertiveness skills
Ordinary level education or equivalent
Customer care or experience as a tourist guide will be considered an asset
Experience working in the tourist sector will be considered an asset
Knowledge of Italian, French, German, Polish or other foreign languages will be considered an asset

Position Overview

The position of Social Media & Marketing Executive, will be responsible for all Media related tasks in line with the marketing strategy of St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation. The employee shall be part of a team and assist the Chief Marketing Officer in managing social media platforms, content creation, digital marketing campaigns and driving engagement across digital and traditional channels.The role is primarily hands-on and involves working as part of a team.

Qualifications and requirements

A Diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related
A higher level of education will be considered an asset.
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and best practices;
Minimum of two (2) years work experience in a similar post.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for marketing.
Ability to work under pressure and juggling multiple projects.
Fluency in both Maltese and English, both written and spoken.
Ability to collect, process and analyse statistical data using online marketing tools;
Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills.

The overall purpose of the job holder is to restore and preserve the artefacts within St John’s Co-Cathedral and the Museum, for the enjoyment of the visitors and future generation.

Qualifications and requirements

Minimum of MQF Level 7 qualification in conservation;
Relevant experience in the practice of restoration of paintings on canvas, on panel and polychrome wooden sculptures;
Good knowledge of materials and technology related to restoration interventions;
Good knowledge of the use of camera for photographic documentation purposes;
Good knowledge of the use of CAD software for graphic documentation (AutoCAD or ZwCAD or similar), Adobe Photoshop and Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Position Overview

The position of an Accounts & Administration Executive consists of ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day activities concerning people management, accounting documentation processing and general administration. The position seeks to maintain a number of functions such as processing and upkeep of personnel documentation, processing of accounting documents records including issuing of invoices, collecting and depositing monies and preparation of reports for the accountant. Administration includes aspects of renewal of contracts for services, tendering and procurement and health and safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

Have an A level in Accounts and /or AAT Diploma in Business and Commerce or equivalent or similar.
Knowledge and skill of the SAGE accounting system used in the Foundation.
Knowledge and skills of Microsoft packages namely, Excel and Word together with database software.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer you will be responsible to ensure that the service systems are operating efficiently at all times and that the program of maintenance is delivered on time and of quality. The post will consist of maintenance work such as repairs and general maintenance work. The role will also encompass electrical installations, alterations, repairs and system maintenance, plumbing and other maintenance related work. We are looking for an ambitious person who can work well within a team environment and who is capable of taking responsibility for their work.

Qualifications and Requirements

Certificate from a technical college.
License A or equivalent would be considered an asset.
Experience in maintenance work.
Skilled in the use of off-hand and power tools.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Ability to disassemble machinery, equipment or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
Knowledge plastering would be considered an asset.
Good interpersonal, organisational and management skills.
Fluency in spoken Maltese and English.

Your main objective will be to develop and implement effective marketing strategies, handle public relations, manage events and to maximise revenue and achieve organisational objectives. Qualifications and requirements

A bachelor’s degree in marketing (MQF level 6) or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
A minimum of 3 years work experience in a related position.
Ability to give full attention to what the customers and the front-line personnel say and seek solutions based on formal research, as well as, the feedback of the users and providers of the service.
Needs to have a well-developed battery of interpersonal skills in order to be able to direct, guide and network with others both inside and outside the organisation.
