The Chapel of the Langue of Germany underwent major restoration interventions in 2012, sponsored by The Federal Republic of Germany. The project consisted of the restoration of the dome, wall carvings and two lunette paintings: ‘The Massacre of the Innocents’, and the ‘The Nativity’. The titular painting of ‘The Adoration of the Magi’ was also restored. These were all painted by the Maltese artist Stefano Erardi. The restoration project successfully conserved and restored the aesthetic appearance of the chapel.
